1. Who we are
Happy Pepi Uploader (“the App”) is a personal, single-user tool operated by Josef Smitka for uploading videos to the YouTube channel Happy Pepi (@happypepi_slav). Contact: josefsmitka6@gmail.com.
2. Use of YouTube API Services
The App uses YouTube API Services. By using the App, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
3. What data we access
When you authorize the App with your Google account, it may access:
- Basic YouTube channel / account information needed to identify the channel you own (for example channel id and title).
- Permission to upload videos you provide, including video files and metadata you supply (title, description, tags, category, thumbnail, privacy status, playlist membership).
- Permission to update or manage metadata of videos on that same channel when you ask the App to do so.
The App requests only the OAuth scopes required for these tasks (currently youtube.upload and youtube).
4. How we use the data
- To upload your own video files and metadata to your own YouTube channel.
- To confirm which channel is connected and report upload status back to you.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, analytics products sold to others, or any purpose unrelated to operating this personal uploader.
5. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share Google / YouTube user data with third parties. Uploaded video content is sent only to YouTube via the official YouTube Data API.
6. Storage of credentials
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally on the operator’s secured machine (private configuration directory with restricted file permissions). Tokens are used only to call YouTube API Services on your behalf. Video files may be read temporarily from local disk during upload and are not retained by the App as a separate cloud store.
7. Retention
API tokens remain until you revoke access or delete them from the local machine. The App does not keep a separate long-term archive of your YouTube channel data beyond what is needed to complete the upload you requested.
8. How to revoke access
You can revoke the App’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation, existing tokens stop working. You may also ask us to delete locally stored tokens by emailing josefsmitka6@gmail.com.
9. Data deletion requests
To request deletion of any locally stored tokens or related App data, email josefsmitka6@gmail.com. Content already published on YouTube is managed in YouTube Studio under your Google account.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and is intended only for the adult channel owner.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
